SPListTreeViewEx Web Part includes a fully-functional, 30-day trial that starts the date the product is installed. After the trial period, if you really appreciate this Web Part and try to continue to use it, you need to purchase a server license.  License for SPListTreeViewEx Web Part is managed in the root site of the Site Collection on SharePoint Web Front-End Server (WFE) using RedSun Web License Manager. To manage the license, you must log in the root site on WFE as administrator.

Activating RedSun Web Application License Manager Feature

The RedSun Web Application License Manager Feature must be activated after installing the SPListTreeViewEx web part.

  1. Log in to the root site of the SharePoint Site Collection on WFE using an administrator account.
  2. Go to [Site Actions] > [Site Settings] > [Site Collection Administration] > [Site collection features]. 
  3. Locate RedSun Web Application License Manager feature and click [Activate] to activate it.

Managing Your License

To manage your license, return back to Site Settings page by clicking the top navigation link “Site Collection Administration”, you should see a new group SPListTreeViewEx License Management  on this page. 

Checking License Status

You can check your license status by clicking [Check License Status] in SPListTreeViewEx License Management group on Site Settings Page.


 Activating License

You can activate a license by clicking [Activate License] in SPListTreeViewEx License Management group on Site Settings Page.

To activate a license, please enter the full path for the license file in the “License File Location” text box, or click “Browse” to locate the license file. If the license is valid, after clicking OK the page will be closed.
 
Some browsers may not support uploading functionality, in this case the “Browse” is disabled.

Note:

  • You must activate license on server side, currently the license management tool does not support remote file uploading.
  • Once your license is activated, the license file input box and [OK] button are disabled when you reopen this page.

 

Deactivating License

You can deactivate a license by clicking [Deactivate License] in SPListTreeViewEx License Management group on Site Settings Page. Please be careful to use this functionality. To avoid unnecessary trouble, please DONOT deactivate your license if not required.
